Our Physicians

Dr. Louis E. Cunningham, MD, Cardiologist

Dr. Cunningham earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, was the chief internal medicine resident at Hubbard Hospital in Nashville and completed his cardiology fellowship at Harlem Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Cunningham is board certified in cardiovascular disease and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He founded Mid-South Heart Center in his hometown, Jackson, Tenn., in 1993 and he is on the West Tennessee Heart & Vascular Center team.


Dr. Tommy L. Miller, III, Cardiologist

Dr. Miller is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in cardiovascular and peripheral vascular intervention.

He earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, then completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at Cooper hospital University Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Miller is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine and has participated in research related to heart failure treatment. He is a cardiologist at Mid-South Heart Center and serves on the West Tennessee Heart & Vascular Center team.
